INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Hilbert College is more than just an academic institution. It is a place where values such as respect, compassion, and integrity are central to our community. Inspired by the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, we strive to create an environment where every member can grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially.

This Student Code of Conduct serves as a guide to help each student contribute positively to our community. It reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of mutual respect, personal responsibility, and service to others. By adhering to these principles, we honor our Franciscan heritage and work together to build a community that upholds the dignity and worth of every individual.

As members of this college, you are expected to embody these values in your daily actions, both on and off campus. This code outlines the expectations for behavior that align with our Franciscan identity and the shared goal of creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all.

Students should expect to receive fair and equitable treatment without discrimination regardless of race, creed, religion, color, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or status.
